In-Chair Teeth Whitening

Your smile is important. It's one of the first things you notice when you meet someone. A whiter, brighter smile can make you feel better about yourself and make a lasting impression on the people that you meet.

There are many different causes for tooth discolouration. These include ageing, coffee, tea, red wine, tobacco, and certain types of medication, such as tetracycline. All of these can contribute to your teeth not looking as white and bright as they should.

At hiQu Dental we can provide our patients with in-chair teeth whitening procedures where we apply a specially formulated teeth whitening gel carefully to your teeth to ensure an even result before being activated by a specially developed light. This may be repeated two or three times during your one-hour appointment depending on your level of discoloration. This technologically advanced whitening system achieves amazing results that will enhance your best feature and your most personal asset quickly and safely.

Your safety is paramount; we choose to use only the finest and rigorously tested teeth whitening treatments available. The only effect some patients may experience is slight sensitivity to hot and cold, however this will usually subside several hours after completing your treatment. Should your sensitivity continue, contact one of our friendly team at hiQu Dental for advice; often the use of desensitising toothpastes will resolve any discomfort.

At hiQu Dental each patient is unique that is why we will asses your personal situation, the extent of your tooth discoloration and the desired shade you wish to achieve. The results will vary from person to person, and our dental team will advise you of the results you can expect.

At-home Teeth Whitening

If you would prefer to whiten your teeth in the comfort and privacy of your own home, at a time that is more suited to your busy lifestyle. Then our professional take home teeth whitening treatments from hiQu Dental is for you.

Using our custom-made teeth whitening trays similar in appearance to a sports mouthguard only much finer, are shaped from a detailed mould of your mouth. This ensures the teeth whitening trays fit snugly over your teeth allowing for maximum contact with your tooth’s enamel while still protecting your gums.

The whitening gel is then placed into the custom fitted trays and inserted over your teeth. The enamel and dentine are gradually whitened whilst the structure of the tooth is not changed, only the tooth colour is lightened.

This gentle take home whitening system will whiten your teeth within a matter of days; even the toughest of stains. For optimum results we recommend using the whitening gels and trays for a minimum of three consecutive days at a time, however most patients require 5-10 days of treatment to achieve ideal results.

It is important to note that the teeth whitening procedure will not whiten your crowns, bridges, fillings or veneers, only tooth enamel. In some circumstances if you have restorations on your front teeth, they may need to be replaced after the whitening process is finished.

Porcelain Veneers

A veneer is a new front to your tooth, made out of porcelain and when bonded to the front surface is very strong and durable. Veneers can be incorporated to close gaps, straighten crooked teeth, repair chips and cover permanent stains. A fast and extremely aesthetic solution, veneers can provide you with a great looking and long-lasting smile.

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

If you’ve suffered with broken teeth, missing teeth, crooked teeth or even dentures, full-mouth rehabilitation may be for you. hIQu Dental in townsville, uses the latest techniques to improve not only your appearance but also your quality of life, daily function and self confidence.

There are many factors we’ll need to take into account before we offer a treatment plan for your functional and aesthetic rehabilitation. For example, your treatment may need to be tailored to accommodate other professionals such as orthodontists or periodontists and may need to be completed over a series of stages.

Often we find that if you have had a missing tooth for some time your bite may have changed or been altered. In this case the foundations for the reconstruction may need to be assessed and corrected to ensure the outcome is comfortable and of long-term benefit. For the best outcome we will conduct diagnostic studies before providing aesthetic and functional reconstructive dentistry.

Dental implants, inlays, tooth whitening or crowns and bridges can all be part of a full mouth reconstruction. Please ask us about full mouth reconstruction at your next appointment with hIQu Dental townsville. We‘ll be more than happy to listen to your needs and provide a treatment plan for your consideration.
